3 per game
João is collecting inside the net 3 balls per game... the same as Ter Stegen, Barcelona's keeper. Stegen won the Champions League last year. What an auspicious trend!!

One Andy is good, two is even better
Andy D. and Andy G. scored two magnificent goals against Shane. The two beautiful girls below saw it all and are asking me day after day for their cell numbers. Fortunately I am a discreet man...

Who owes the team 4 points in 2 games?
The guy of the blog owes the team 4 points. Today was pretty much evident so there is no need to elaborate on it. It was crystal clear even for the opposite team, who soon realized where the weakest link was and started shooting and bombing the ball over the box in any possible way and in any circumstance.
But a great piece of journalistic investigation has recently put some light on what happened against Nepal United FC also. And the guy of the blog is not again free from blame.
When the result was still 2-1 for the Clash, the referee fairly signalled a free-kick close to the box, on Nepal's right side attack. It was quite dangerous and a wall was formed. Pete Zola - a great player, wise and with lots of experience - volunteered himself to cover the far post. The guy of blog said "no need" and dismissed him. Appallingly the ball got into the net precisely where Pete Zola had intended to be before he has been dismissed by the guy of blog.
Supporters are suspicious that if this trend continues the only way to keep the goal safe is to implement an original defense system.

Gut it Out VI - A Word Of Gratitude To The Ref
The referee decided to postpone the game. It was really annoying, but he might be right: rain can be tricky sometimes...

Gut it Out III - Getting Inspiration From the First Goal of the Season
Ten or fifteen minutes after the kick-off Darren put Clash on the lead with a strong header right in the center of the box of Nepal United FC. In a corner kick, Toshi moved the ball with a short pass to Matt. Matt picked it up and took it to the threshold of the box and from there crossed it with milimetric precision. Darren jumped up to the second floor and put the ball in the net for the first time this season. No chances for the keeper.
Gut it out
The second game of the season is against Guts FC tomorrow.
A tough game looming ahead, as both teams failled to win the previous one and are willing to get their first 3 points this season.
Last season Guts FC came seventh and won twice against Clash. Tomorrow will be different for sure.

Last Window
In the very last day of the transfer market, as any other club, Clash tried a final push to reinforce itself for the season ahead. But differently from others, Clash saw no reason to sign any player given the high quality of those already playing for the yellows. So Clash decided to sign a supporter instead. Here is the guy! Great hand played by the managers!

See you!
The time always comes when one has to say goodbye. After one year with us, playing for the Clash at the highest level, Rafael decided to move to a more quiet and undemanding club, to enjoy a pre-retirement season without the pressure and responsability of the great clubs and competitions. He signed for Coritiba, in Brazil, and is leaving Japan on Wednesday. We will miss you, meu irmão!
"Man of the Match"
In the last few days we have conducted a worldwide survey, under the most strict and up-to-date standards, to designate the "Man of the Match" against Nepal FC.
Millions of people, of different nationalities, clearly stated that Simon Sanders, left-back, performed brilliantly and deserves to be nominated.
Thank you very much, Simon!

The Team Clash Will Clash Tomorrow is More Than a Team
Nepal United FC is a strong and very competitive team representing more than a club - an entire country - as its players like to introduce themselves. They are really fast and skilful, with a good circulation and dangerous strikers.
In the last 5 games against Nepal United FC, Clash lost 2, drew 2 and won 1. Tomorrow we will win again.
More Than Ready
Clash had a fantastic preseason and is riding a very nice trend. Surely it is not over yet. The last time we lost a game was almost 3 months ago...

Soccer is a Never Ending Learning Process
Notwithstanding the team's quality and individual talent, of course Clash is not (yet!) the "clockwork orange" of Johan Cruyff and there are some "aspects" of the game we still need to get acquainted with... roundedly...
